When Teacher Cooks Chicken Macaroni Salad

Cooking is a Craft

The other side of a Teacher is being a Parent. As parents, it is our primary duty to fill the table with nutritious foods. Foods which are not necessarily expensive to be nutritious. When I am not busy with my work in the classroom or in the computer, I am busy in the kitchen. With this article, I would love to share with you how I made Chicken-Macaroni Salad, the teacher's style. The recipe unfolds with each picture shown because after all, pictures do tell a thousand words. Ingredients and steps were shown in each picture. Easy steps to follow and better understanding.

Chicken- Macaroni Salad ( The Teacher's Homemade Version)

Ingredients: 300g chicken breast (boil/steam in 10 min), 200g macaroni ( boil as per package instruction), cheese, sm. can condensed milk, sm. can fruit cocktail, 100g mayonnaise, all purpose cream, 1/2 tbsp. salt

While boiling the macaroni and chicken ( separately), cut the cheese into cubes ( you can let the kids do this) and drain the fruit cocktail with its liquid. ( Put ice on the extracted juice then you have pineapple juice).
Ready for mixing and combining. Boiled macaroni, shredded boiled chicken, cream, mayo, cheese, condensed milk, cream and salt.
You can let the kid mix the ingredients because trust me, they like helping. When everything is well combined, chill in the fridge for a couple of hours. It can last up to 4 days in the fridge ( depending on how fast your family consume food).
Preparation: 30 min.
Cost: Less than PhP300.00 or  >$6
Serving: 15 person ( depending on appetite)
Teacher's Tip: Add 3 drops of vinegar while boiling both macaroni and chicken for food's longer life.
