Nutrition Month Activities

In the Philippines, July is officially Nutrition Month. It's an annual celebration aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of good nutrition for overall health and well-being. This observance is mandated by Presidential Decree No. 491, s. 1974. In contrast, in the United States, National Nutrition Month is celebrated in March.

Nutrition Month, celebrated every July, encourages individuals to learn about and practice healthy eating habits. This year's theme is "Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit for Life". A variety of activities can be organized to promote this, including educational sessions, cooking classes, and fun games, focusing on topics like healthy meal planning, label reading, and mindful eating.
