 Senator President Juan Miguel Zubiri confirmed that the Senate and House of Representatives have agreed to pass at least six bills by the end of the year.

Priority legislation includes a mandatory reserve personnel training corps and a national service training program.

Five bills have been introduced to the Senate aimed at strengthening the Philippine militia through his ROTC for Senior High School and Higher Education.

“The cogs of the legislative mill are fully functioning. We in Congress have started on the right footing, on the right direction, kaya’t mataas po ang pag-asa namin na magiging madali ang ugnayan ng Executive at Legislative branches of government para matugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng ating mamamayan,” he said.

This measure aims to organize the youth department into a pool of capable reserve officers, instill patriotic values, and encourage involvement in public and civic affairs.

Zubiri said action must be taken against the medical reserve by the end of the year. National Centers for Disease Control/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Philippines Institute of Virus Science and Technology; Amending the Build-Operate-Transfer Act and Allowing Unpaid Amortization and Interest on Loans from Agricultural Reform Beneficiaries.
