LGUs to Enforce Law against Noisy Neighbors

With this new normal set-up of Philippine Education comes the changes that we need to adapt with. Now that each home becomes a school for every Filipino youth, a conducive home for learning is necessary for them to focus on studying whether for Online Distance Learning or Modular Distance Learning. With this regard, LGUs are encouraged to enforce laws against loud noises including videoke, muffler sounds, animal sounds like chickens and dogs, and quarreling couples to avoid disrupting students study period from Monday to Saturday.

" Ang Makati nag-pass na ng ordinance since 2011. Dito ipinagbabawal ang videoke at amplifier pati yong muffler ng motorsiklo. Ngayon gagawin nating buong barangay na kasi ang mga bahay ngayon ang paaralan at ang mga magulang natin naging teacher na sila. Importante na may katahimikan para makapag concentrate yong ating mga anak sa pag-aaral nila." said DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño on Thursday during radio interview with DZBB.

He also encouraged cities and municipalities without such existing ordinance to invoke existing laws to penalized violators during daytime.

Everyone is struggling during this trying times. What we could do is to help and support each other however way we can offer. In unity there is strength. This too shall pass.#
