High School Dancers Fund Drive to raise Donations earns Praises and Support

"Not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they dance." Alab Dance Troupe of Gonzaga National High School (GNHS) in Cagayan Province, Philippines shares their dancing talents to raise donations for the affected families of Enhanced Community Quarantine due to Covid-19.

The dance troupe launched " Tulong Mo, Sayaw Ko" through uploaded Zumba Dance Videos and the netizen danced with them while at home. In this program, the viewer may request and sponsor a Zumba Dance.

" Ang motibo lang ng grupo noon ay makapagbigay ng isang fitness dance sa mga team Bahay. Hanggang sa maraming natuwa at nagrequest na dagdagan pa ng videos. Doon ko naisipang gumawa ng konseptong pagsamahin ang entertainment, fitness and fund drive," Teacher James Mike Caday shared.

[The motive of the group before was just to give fitness dance to those staying at home. Until such time that many people request to add more videos. Then I have thought of making a concept to combine entertainment, fitness and fund drive," Teacher James Mike Caday shared.]

The group accepts cash and in kind donations which they sums up to more than PhP 51,000.00 ($1,020). They have bought relief goods which they distributed to nearby families in the community.

Salute to you Alab Dance Troupe of Cagayan!
